- Must own a decent computer with a decent graphics card/CPU

(min 8gb card less than 4 years old) and minimum 16 gigs of ram

- Must own a drawing tablet that connects to your PC

Course Description

A condensed, production-focused animation program designed to take students from the fundamentals of animation through to the completion of their own one-minute animated short film.

​

The program begins with essential foundations and practical assignments before quickly transitioning into the production of an original short film. Students apply what they learn throughout the program while receiving professional instruction and guidance from an experienced animation industry professional.

​

The emphasis is on learning by doing. Rather than spending the entire program on isolated exercises, students progress toward a finished film that demonstrates their developing skills and can become part of a personal portfolio or demo reel.

Program Structure

​

- 10 Levels (4 Weeks Per Level)

- 40 Weeks Total

- One online lecture/feedback session or "sweatbox"  per week

*2pm to 4pm Atlantic Time*

 

- Home based assignments in-between classes

The first 10 weeks of the program establishes the essential foundations.

The remainder is dedicated to developing, producing and completing a one-minute animated short film, from Script to Screen.

​

Student's will be given a virtual link that will allow you to join each class, watch lectures and demo's and share your own work with the rest of the group.
